By Graham Bishop 1974
She is standing and thinking. All of this time she paddles in waters reflecting the dying embers of a day nearly ended.
Towards the west there are black hills of stillness, which do not disturb the serenity of this time.
She is thinking about the peacefulness dusk brings to her mind.
She hears the sorrowful breeze whine across the terrain and her thoughts follow it to the beginning of a new day somewhere distant.
The water trickles down a hill as if running from her and she tries to imagine the roaring torrents that these waters could have come from.
Her mind is peaceful, blending in with the surroundings. She wonders if this moment could be relived again.
